Sudanese paramilitary force backs ceasefire and talks on country's future

Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has expressed openness to a long-term ceasefire with the army and proposed its vision for a "Sudan Reborn", which could revive talks between the warring parties. The conflict, now in its 20th week, has resulted in a humanitarian crisis with millions displaced and deteriorating healthcare and infrastructure. The RSF and allied militias have been accused of ethnic cleansing in West Darfur.
