The USS Ronald Reagan, a US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, has arrived in South Korea as a show of strength against North Korea. The carrier and its battle group came to the port of Busan after participating in a maritime exercise with South Korea and Japan. This deployment is part of a bilateral agreement to enhance the visibility of US strategic assets in response to North Korea's nuclear program. The arrival of the aircraft carrier is expected to anger North Korea, which sees it as a major security threat. There are also concerns that North Korea is seeking advanced weapons technology from Russia.
