Amazon and Meta have agreed to stop practices that give them an unfair advantage over merchants and customers in the UK, according to the Competition and Markets Authority. Amazon will no longer be able to use data from third-party sellers to gain an edge, and sellers will have the opportunity to negotiate their own delivery rates and compete for the buy box. Meta has committed to limiting the use of ad data and allowing competitors to opt out of their data being used to improve Facebook Marketplace.
