Russia's Central Election Commission (CEC) announced that the 2024 presidential elections will be held on March 15 to 17 next year. House-to-house voting will also take place in new regions including Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia, as well as in Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Crimea, and Sevastopol. CEC Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova confirmed these dates and the three-day voting period, which has become a norm in Russia. President Putin, whose term expires in May 2023, has confirmed his candidacy for a fifth term.
